Hope Springs Farm is run by the Kittell family; Cornel, Jan,
Sarah, and Jessica. We are located in Colbert, GA just to the
northeast of Athens (home of the University of GA). Our family is
strongly Christian and attend Promised Land Messianic
Fellowship and Winterville First Baptist Church. We have an
assortment of pets, including 4 dogs, 4 cats, and a bunch fish, as
well as all our livestock.
Cornel graduated with a DVM from Michigan State University
and is boarded in Lab Animal and Preventive Medicine. He
retired from the Army Vet Corps and also served as an enlisted
Marine. He is an avid cyclist and enjoys hunting.
Jan is a retired monkey veterinarian and full time mom who
homeschools Sarah and Jessi. She graduated from Virginia
Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine with a DVM
and is boarded in Lab Animal Medicine. She likes riding horses,
square dancing and is learning to hand spin wool.
Sarah, our technical support, is currently in 10th grade and plans
to become a professional chef. She is 16, and the creative force in
the family. Sarah enjoys computer graphics, knitting, reading, and
is an avid fan of rock music.
Jessi trains horses using the Parelli Natural Horsemanship
methods, as well as showing, running summer horse camps and
teaching riding lessons. She is 14, in 9th grade, and plays piano
and sings for her youth group band. Jessi plans to attend a college
level apprenticeship program in Pennsylvania at Miracle
