After my success with Charlie, a friend
asked if I could train her horse. Sting was a
17 year old Quarter Horse gelding. He
hadn't been ridden in a while and had
developed bad manners. He had never
jumped or been shown. I trained him over a
few months and sold him to a young lady
who showed him successfully hunter jumper,
loves him very much!

Hi, I'm Jessi Kittell. I run Dayspring Equine Enterprises. I have been riding
since I was eight years old. My parents bought me my first horse, Charlie,
when I was nine. I took riding lessons with Jenny Liedberg for four-five years,
in English pleasure and hunter jumper. I got interested in training horses after
working with a few "problem horses" in my area. I started teaching lessons and
running summer horse camps with my best friends in 2007. My farrier, Doug
Leggett, took an interest in me and has been a mentor since very early on. Now
I break and train horses regularly, both for customers and for myself. I got
started in Parelli Natural Horsemanship and now am in level 3 with my
Thoroughbred mare, Melody.
Lily Charge North (aka Melody). Nine year old, bay, registered Thoroughbred
mare. Currently raising her two month old filly, Jasmine. Starting level 3
Parelli. My personal mount.

Zippo's Baby Alice (aka Alley). Eleven year old, chestnut, registered Quarter Horse mare.
Currently being used in riding lessons and summer horse camps. Finishing up level 1. Jan's
mount.
Gabby and Gabbi (aka Gabby). Six year old, bay and white, registered Paint Mare.
Currently being used as a lesson horse, and summer camp horse. Working on level 1.

Ruby has evented at the Prelim level and shown as a jumper. She has a lot of energy, likes to
jump, and is sound. She has done Parelli level 1 ground work. I think that she would make a good
dressage horse or lower level jumper, for a confident rider. This horse has been there, and done
that, and can help you do it too! Loads, ties, clips, bathes, and stands for the vet and farrier. Ruby
is not registered, but is pure bred, and imported from Europe.
My first training project, who wasn't meant
to be a training project, was Charlie. Charlie
was pretty laid back when we got him in
2004. But he put on some weight, figured
out that I was not very experienced, and
started bolting with me. I didn't know a
whole lot, but continued to work with him,
and take lessons, until we got things
straightened out. I showed him successfully
as a hunter, but by that time had out grown
him, and sold him in 2008.
I was very blessed with an
excellent farrier who has
encouraged me with my horses,
and inspired me to do more. In
2006 he gave me his 3 year old
Quarter Horse pony mare to break
and train. Because this was the
first horse I had broken I took my
time. Jamie had completed Parelli
levels 1 and 2 as well as working
over fences when I sold her. As a
finished horse, Jamie was sold to a
friend of mine who adores her.

I have now worked with quite a few horses, breaking and training them using natural
horsemanship methods. I teach riding lessons for beginner through intermediate
riders, for $20/hour. My best friend, Carolyn Kaes, and I direct Dayspring Horse
Camp is the summer. Our first year of camp we ran two small camps, with 7-9 kids
each. The next year we ran three camps, with 8-12 kids per week. This coming year
we are planning on two camps with 16 kids/week. These camps are a ministry as well
as an opportunity for the children to enjoy riding horses. I also show hunter jumper
and English pleasure at locals shows. If you are interested in any of the services
talked about on this page please email me at dayspringcamp@yahoo.com or

-God Bless-
